The Jackdaw was a swift and heavily armed brig that sailed the Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy in the early 18th century. Captained by Edward Kenway, the vessel became one of the most feared ships in the West Indies, renowned for its speed, maneuverability, and success in naval combat. More than just a pirate ship, the Jackdaw served as Edward’s home, stronghold, and gateway to adventure across the Caribbean. At its bow stood its iconic jackdaw bird figurehead, a distinctive emblem that gave the ship its name and identity. Together, the Jackdaw and its figurehead became enduring symbols of freedom, exploration, and the pirate legend of Edward Kenway.
