We at @orangeisthenewblackandtan / @phineasthecat are donating 100% of our cut to charity! We have two new *amazing* charities that we're splitting this donation across this time around:

Half goes to Second Chance Animal Rescue (@second.chance.animal.rescue) to support their End of Life Home program. SCAR is a Victoria, Australia-based nonprofit with a unique and incredible program that finds homes for terminally ill animals and special seniors. Only 25% of senior animals in pounds will ever get adopted, and the odds are far worse for terminally ill animals. This cause is extremely near to our hearts after losing our beloved Holly to cancer in January, and we want to use our platform to help other animals with life-shortening health problems to find a loving home, as the idea of even one animal like Holly not having a loving home in the end is devastating. It takes remarkable people to have the heart and strength for this kind of rescue, but more funding for SCAR will help more terminally ill animals to know love before the end.

The other half goes to Black Rainbow Australia (@blackrainbowaus). Black Rainbow is an incredible group that works hard to prevent suicide and improve health outcomes in the indigenous Australian LGBTIQA+ population. Suicide rates are already more than 3 times higher in indigenous Australians compared to non-indigenous Australians, and this number reaches epidemic proportions in LGBTIQA+ indigenous Australians, with nearly half attempting suicide at some point in their lives. The life expectancy of indigenous Australians is 10 years less than it is for non-indigenous Australians, and this statistic is worsened in indigenous Australians that also identify as LGBTIQA+. Let this be clear: we are far from experts on the lived experience of indigenous Australians. However, as we've learned more about first nations people, and as individuals working in the medical field in Australia, this has quickly become a cause that we are passionate about supporting.

If we reach 200 plushies sold, the campaign will be funded, but if we can reach 400 plushies sold, our cut per plushie triples, and this very obviously massively increases our support of these charities!
