Back in February Pluto and I decided we were going to celebrate her “new normals” and her Plutoversary with a second Makeship Pluto plush. So, we got busy on a new design. Pluto insisted that she wear her favourite snack-traction socks and that one of her goat-jumping propulsion thrusters (aka: tuner ear) be fully engaged. Our girl never let the challenge of “lost marbles” stop her and she would often say: “Mom, you need to put the embracers on life!” So, just in case, Pluto thought it was a really, really, really, really(4 reallys) good idea that she carry a little bag of lost marbles–in case you needed a few extras for yourself.

Unfortunately, life is a trickster. There were delays with production, followed by more important life priorities for Pluto and I. Then, she left us too soon to start her next great adventure. Pluto never had the chance to share her kingsize snorehouse with her New Normals doppelgänger. She would have enjoyed doing the snores with herself! I knew it would break my heart to leave this happy project we started together unfinished. She deserves her last chance to whoosh some love.

So, in keeping with Pluto's whooshing ways, with every one of her New Normals plushy purchased, part of our proceeds will be shared with Veterinarians without Borders and The Alzheimer Society of Canada. MakeShip loved this idea and as part of our Plutoverse family, they are also making a donation in Pluto’s honour. That’s a lot of whooshing from the Plutoverse!

Pluto, you lived large and are dearly missed by your Plutoverse friends. Dance on little buddy!
